I’m Jackie, a wedding and lifestyle photographer and blogger based out of Vero Beach, Florida. I grew up in South Florida where I developed a love for sunshine and ocean breezes. Although the east coast is home to me, I love to travel and explore new places!
photography , love , laughter
To me, photography is like freezing a moment in time. It takes you back to a feeling, an emotion, a story. it has always been something I have had a passion for. As cliche as it sounds, I always knew this is what I wanted to do.
I think I started really loving photography in 2004 when I first learned how to develop my own film and photos in the darkroom. There was nothing more satisfying than being able to see your images spring forth before your very eyes! My first camera was 35mm Minolta which I loved dearly. Then I moved to the Canon EOS series and lenses and I just love shooting with the brand.
I spent 5 years in the Navy and I was lucky enough to travel the world and see Spain, Turkey, Italy, Greece, Crete, Ireland, Scotland, and more! What a beautiful experience it was, It completely opened my mind to travel and the hugeness of the world.
Now separated from the military, I am residing in Norfolk, Virginia as a wedding and lifestyle photographer. I am also pursuing my degree in multimedia and web development. I enjoy pushing the limits to my creativity and connecting with others through photography and multimedia.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years…
Honestly, my ultimate goal in life would be to travel and photograph documentary style weddings and lifestyle sessions and never stay any 1 place for too long. But, for now – I am happy enough to be grounded in Vero Beach, although the urge for travel is pulling me harder and harder these days.
